Nestled along the scenic coastline of Dana Point, California, Pickleball First was born out of a passion for the fastest-growing sport in America—and a deep love for community. Our founder, a longtime local and avid pickleball player, noticed a growing frustration among players in Southern California: nowhere to physically try out gear, nowhere to ask questions, nowhere to connect. Everything was online, with long shipping times, generic advice, and no sense of connection.

That’s when the idea hit: what if there was a shop built by pickleball players, for pickleball players?

With that mission, Pickleball First opened its doors—the first dedicated pickleball pro shop in Dana Point, designed to be more than just a store. We wanted to create a hub where players of all levels could test the latest paddles, ask questions, get expert advice, and walk out confident they’d made the right choice—without waiting days for a delivery.
